Convert PNG to JPG

PNG files are often larger than a photo needs to be. JPG is the format email and most forms expect. Conversion stays in this browser.

How to convert PNG to JPG

  1. Drop the PNG files.
  2. Choose a quality. 92% keeps a screenshot or photo looking clean. Drop toward 70% if the PNG was a large photo and you need a smaller file.
  3. Download the JPG, or a zip for a batch.

Transparency becomes white

JPG cannot keep a transparent background. PicKept fills those pixels with white. A logo or chart that was sitting on a checkerboard will sit on white. If you need the transparent background, keep the PNG.

If the goal is a size limit such as 100 KB, convert here first or go straight to Compress, which also accepts PNG and aims at a size you choose.
