Convert JPG to WebP

WebP is usually smaller than JPG at a similar look, which makes it a good file for a website. Email and some forms still want JPG. Nothing is uploaded.

When to use WebP

Use WebP for images you will put on a web page. Use JPG when you are sending the photo to someone or uploading it to a form that lists JPG only. If this browser cannot save WebP, the file is marked and you can use PNG to JPG or keep the original JPG.

How to use it

  1. Drop the JPG files.
  2. Set quality. Start at 92%, then lower it if the WebP is not small enough.
  3. Download the .webp file.
